Larson Volunteer Award In 2018, the Belmont Bay Paddlers established the Larson Volunteer Award to annually recognize a member(s) who greatly contribute his/her time and efforts for the benefit of the club. The inaugural recipient of the Belmont Bay Paddlers Volunteer Award was General Gerald D. Larson, who exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism supporting the club. In honor of General Larson’s example, the Board named the award the Larson Volunteer Award. The Award consists of a wooden paddle bearing the Belmont Bay Paddlers’ logo, a framed citation and a gift certificate. The awardee(s) will hold the paddle for the year until another awardee is selected, at which time the paddle will be passed on to the new recipient. Award Winners 2018 - Gerald D.
